These terms apply when you use the Courtsy app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Courtsy.
What Courtsy is
Courtsy connects people who can share a private condominium tennis court (“hosts”) with people who want to play on one (“players”). We provide the app; we don’t own, run or inspect any court. Each session is an arrangement between the host and the players.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- Use your real name and keep your sign-in email secure. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account.
Hosting
- Only list a court you are allowed to share. You are responsible for following your condominium’s house rules and getting any permission its management requires, including for guests.
- Describe the court honestly, and turn up or arrange access for sessions people have booked. If you have to cancel, cancel in the app as early as you can.
- We may review, pause or remove a listing, for example if it breaks these terms or is reported.
Booking and playing
- The person who books a session books the whole court and may invite up to three friends in the app. The booker is responsible for their group.
- Follow the host’s instructions and the condominium’s rules, arrive on time and leave the court as you found it.
- Tennis is a physical activity. You play at your own risk and are responsible for your own fitness, equipment and belongings.
Prices and payments
Hosts set their own hourly price, and Courtsy keeps a commission shown in the app. Payments aren’t switched on yet, so bookings are currently confirmed without a charge. We will update these terms, including cancellation and refund rules, before we start taking payments.
Behaviour
Be respectful. Don’t harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, post anything unlawful or misleading, share other people’s personal data, spam, or try to get around blocks or access you’re not meant to have. You can report people, courts and reviews in the app. We may hide content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Reviews
Reviews should be honest and about a real session. We may hide reviews that are abusive, off-topic or misleading.
Our liability
Courtsy is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee that a court, host or player will be available, suitable or safe, or that the app will always work without interruption. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for injury, loss or damage arising from sessions arranged through Courtsy or from disputes between hosts and players. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Malaysian consumer law that can’t be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes. If you keep using Courtsy after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
